The Old Hall was the original Victory Hall. It is used once a month by Bookends, and therefore is lined with bookshelves full of books. It is furnished with sofas and comfy chairs, standard lamps and side tables, to give it the air of a comfortable reading room. These furnishings make it popular as an informal meeting room, and as a cosy and intimate venue for smaller music gigs and concerts.

However, the furniture can be rearranged to suit different users of the room, and can actually be moved to the edges of the room to create a large and flexible space. For example, the horticulture show uses the Old Hall for its photographical displays, and presentation of the children's entries for the art classes. As a space for meetings or musical event, the old hall can accommodate around 50 people.
